ABB High Voltage factory was established in 1994 at 10th of Ramadan City, 55 km from Cairo on a total area of 2645 m
2
.
In 1994 ABB High Voltage factory assembled its first 10 x 66 kV circuit breaker type ED for Middle Delta Zone.
In 1994 ABB High Voltage factory assembled the control and protection system for EEA / New Suez 500 kV substation.
In 1995 ABB High Voltage factory assembled its first 33 x 72.5 kV disconnector type SGF for EEA / Maghagha 220 / 66 kV substation.
In 1996 ABB High Voltage factory was certified for ISO 9001(Quality Management System) by the British Standards Institution BSI.
In 1997 ABB High Voltage factory assembled its first 30 x 220 kV circuit breaker type HPL for Canal Zone.
In 2001 ABB High Voltage factory assembled its first busbar protection type REB 500 for Yafae ben Yazeed 66 kV substation.
In 2002 ABB High Voltage factory signed Live Tank Breaker (LTB) service agreement with ABB Sweden.
In 2006 ABB High Voltage factory was certified for OHS AS 18001:1999 (Occupational Health and Safety) by the British Standards Institution BSI
In 2007 ABB High Voltage factory was certified for EMS 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System) by the British Standards Institution BSI

245 kV circuit breakers type HPL
HPL is a puffer type SF6 circuit breaker.
It is operated by motor charged spring mechanism
type BLG 1002A.
245 kV circuit breakers type LTB E
LTB E is an auto puffer SF6 circuit breaker.
It is operated by motor charged spring mechanism
type BLG 1002A.
72.5 kV circuit breakers type EDF
EDF SK is an auto puffer type SF6 circuit breaker.
It is operated by motor charged spring mechanism
type FSA.
Center break disconnectors type SGF up to 245 kV
SGF is operated by motorized mechanism type MT 50
and type MT 100. It is also operated by manual mechanism type HA 31-80.
72.5 kV current transformer type IMB
